Day 46 - 2/15/10

I have a 3 month session coming up (possibly this weekend), so I thought I'd share some of the items I picked up recently to use as props. I can't wait to play with baby Emma again!

Some of the stuff I picked up was for Valentine's Day type photos of her since we were supposed to have her session done before Feb 14. With all the snow we've gotten we had to reschedule to this weekend instead.

Day 45 - 2/14/10

Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful day!

Valentine's Day isn't complete unless you have a box of these....


I decided to make a cake with the kids. Cause, why not right?!

The final product - right out of the oven.... (we warmed some chocolate frosting and poured it over the cake. yum!)


And of course the box of chocolates - gotta have that!

Day 44 - 2/13/10

Yesterday Rob bought Ashlyn and I some tulips for Valentine's Day. (he said the pinks are for Ashlyn and the reds are for me) What a sweet husband and daddy!

Tulips are my absolute favorite! So today we, (the tulips and I), had a photo session. :)

I am sitting here in front of them while I prepare this post and they smell SO good. I wish I could share that with you too!

Day 43 - 2/12/10

Day 42 - 2/11/10

Today we're doing a little sneak peek at what's going on INSIDE the house.

We are slowly renovating the whole house and right now we are focusing on the entry and hallway. These photos are of the entry (in progress).

These first 3 photos were taken a while ago....

First we pulled up the slate tiles.


Then we replaced the front door. (I LOVE my new door!)


These are the photos from today of the current work. Rob has pulled the carpet off the stairs and sanded the steps to prep them for staining.

Day 41 - 2/10/10

And then is snowed again.



But this time it wasn't nearly as much as last time. Shoveling this was easy in comparison!

Then I opened the door to go to the backyard from our laundry room. Usually you can see the patio and pool from here.


Compared to the shots of the pool yesterday, you can see that it is now completely covered in snow.


And so are those lounge chairs haha!


This was shot from the door that leads to the backyard under the deck. Again, you should be able to see the pool.


I am starting to have an aversion to the color White! ;)

Day 40 - 2/9/10

Back to the snow!

I thought I would get a few shots of the backyard and the pool this time.

Day 39 - 2/8/10

Had to take a break from the snow (don't fret, more coming soon haha). So today I snapped pics of the Fatheads in the kids' rooms. We got them one for Christmas '08 and one for Christmas '09.

Day 38 - 2/7/10

This first photo was taken yesterday. After we dug out and parked the cars in the driveway it continued to snow and this is what we found after it stopped.



So now on to today's photo....

We're officially dug out AGAIN!

Day 37 - 2/6/10

Just before 8 a.m. It's been snowing since about 10 a.m. yesterday. Blizzard conditions. Think we're at about 14" or so at this point.

These next 2 photos are the same areas from yesterdays POTD. Notice no more street or driveways. Also.... it's still snowing.




The steps coming up to the landing at the front door. There is a bush in there somewhere.


Between 10 and 11 a.m. We went out to shovel the top 1/3 of the driveway.





The plow came through and made giant piles on the sides of the road...

We cleared both sides and moved our trucks out of the garage into that area in the hopes that there would be less to shovel there later
